Below is just a small part of our leadership team, shared here so that you can connect with them and know more about who we are. We believe that every member is a pastor and the real heroes are the volunteers who give their time, talent, and energy to passionately serving others.
Rev John serves as Interim Pastor and Locum of the Church and is responsible for the day to day operations and leading the senior leadership team. John trained at Moore Theological College and later received his Master of Theology through Morling College.
John has served in the parishes of Hurstville, Williamtown/Medowie/Mallabula, Tea Gardens/Bulahdelah, Wollombi and Port Macquarie. John has also served as the Missional Archdeacon in the Grafton Diocese until his retirement in 2016.
Prior to his marriage to Lisa, John was married to Susan for 46 years until her death in May 2019. They have 3 married children and 5 grandchildren. John has written two book's entitled Exploring the Meaning of Life through Great Themes in the Bible and Making Sense of Faith.
Nelson Bay has been Rev Anne’s home for over 20 years and she has been a member of the All Saints leadership team for 15 years. Anne assists in worship services, conducts pastoral care and manages worship services held in the local Aged Care facilities. Anne has two married adult children living in Arizona USA, and Canberra and has 4 teenage grandsons.
Rev Kyle looks after our families and young people at All Saints. He is married to Sally and they have a son. During their spare time they enjoy a myriad of animals they have including dogs, cats, chickens and even bees.
Rev Lissy moved to Nelson Bay in 1983, is married to Ian and has two son's. Lissy's passions are providing care to those less fortunate in the community and social justice. Lissy serves as the Team Leader of Hope Cottage.
Rev Di is part of the Hope Cottage and Church prayer team's. Di is involved in many of our groups including All Saints women and writes the weekly ‘Musings’ that we publish. Di and husband Phil have 6 children and even more grandchildren. Di loves God, praying for others, welcoming people and planning and decorating Church events.
Rev Annette considers her ministry a privileged way of contributing to Church life. She takes part in leading worship in the Church and aged care facilities, and especially enjoys preparing for, and leading, study and discussion groups. Annette has lived in Nelson Bay since 1997, is married to Don, has four children living in various parts of Australia and nine grandchildren.
Val is a Chaplain attached to All Saints, serving the Port Stephens aged care and retirement community. Val looks after all things "official Anglican" at All Saints and as a fun fact, Val has an identical twin sister.
Dorothy serves as Team Leader of the Pastoral Care Team. Her passion in serving God involves caring for people, especially within the All Saints family and Hope Cottage. She and her husband, Gavin, are also part of the Worship Team. They have 4 children (two overseas: in South Africa and Dubai), 3 grandsons and a black rescue cat called Bruce who owns the household.
